The University of Alabama fell one spot to No. 3 in the latest Bowl Championship Series standings, which will determine the teams that will play for the national championship in January.
Alabama, which was idle this weekend, also fell to third in the Associated Press Top 25 and the USA Today coaches’ poll.
Florida remained No. 1 in the BCS standings (which are tallied from a combination of poll and computer rankings), with Texas second and Alabama third.
Iowa is fourth in the BCS rankings, with Cincinnati fifth.
